Welcome to the website of St. Timothy’s School (sttimothys.org). By accessing or using our website and our online data management systems (including Veracross), you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy and are bound by these Terms of Use.

Part I: Privacy Policy

St. Timothy’s School respects the privacy of all visitors to our website, as well as those who subscribe to our newsletters, submit forms, and make donations to the School.

1. Information We Collect

Voluntarily Provided Information

We collect personal information—such as your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and payment details—only when you voluntarily submit it to us. This includes forms filled out on our website as well as data entered into our online database system (Veracross) for admissions, enrollment, giving, or event registration.

Your personal information will never be sold, leased, or rented to any third party. Your information will only be disclosed to third parties as necessary to fulfill your requests or as required by law.

Information Collected Automatically

As you navigate through our website, we may use automatic data collection technologies to gather statistical data about your equipment, browsing actions, and patterns, including:

  • Details of your visits to our website (traffic data, location data, and communication logs).
  • Information about your computer and internet connection, including your IP address, operating system, and browser type.

This aggregate information does not contain personal identification on its own. We use it to maintain system integrity, improve user experience, and analyze site performance.

2. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

  • Cookies: Cookies are small text files placed on your device to track page visits and aggregate site statistics. These cookies do not store personally identifiable information. You can adjust your browser settings to refuse cookies, though some features of our site or portals may not function properly as a result.
  • Web Beacons: Pages on our website and our HTML emails may contain clear GIFs or pixel tags. These allow us to count users who have visited pages or opened emails to help us measure campaign effectiveness and system stability.

3. Children’s Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

St. Timothy’s School is committed to protecting the privacy of young children. Our website is intended for adults, including prospective and current parents, guardians, alumni, and community members. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of 13 through our public website without prior parental or guardian consent.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to our website without appropriate consent, please contact us at administration@sttimothys.org so we may promptly remove the information.

4. Donor Privacy

This donor privacy policy applies to all information received by St. Timothy’s School, both online and offline, as well as any electronic, written, or oral communications. St. Timothy’s School will not sell, share, or trade our donors' personal information with any non-affiliated third party, nor send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations, except as explicitly authorized by the donor or required to process transactions.

However, no internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
