Emma Claire Broome Receives Chick-Fil-A Servant Leadership
Posted 06/06/2019 07:53AM

Thanks to Emma Claire Broome's leadership as a student-athlete, she will have her name inscribed on a plaque in the St. Timothy's School trophy case - and a year of free Chick-Fil-A sandwiches!

The STS eighth grader is the recipient of the 2019 Chick-Fil-A Second Mile Servant-Leadership Award sponsored by the North Hills Chick-Fil-A, which is operated by STS alumnus Rally de Leon.

This honor is given to the student-athlete who displays humility, a positive attitude, good work ethic, good sportsmanship and great character.

This year, Emma Claire was a member of the St. Timothy's cross country and track and field teams. Her coach, Kayla Roberts, said, "Emma Claire constantly cheered on her teammates and opponents. She took time out of her workouts at practice to help younger students improve in areas they were struggling in. She never complained, always worked hard, and was kind to everyone."

STS athletes and coaches were asked to submit candidates and include a brief statement about each nominee. Concealing the candidates' identities, Athletic Director Mike McConoughey presented the nominations to the Titan Athletic Club Board for a vote.

Congratulations, Emma Claire!
