The 2019 St. Timothy's School Science Fair will be held on January 16 and 17, 2019, and registration is now open.
The STS Science Fair is open to students in first through eighth grades. Participation is voluntary and students must register their intent by November 14, 2018. Research plans are due on December 7, 2018.
Students in first or second grade may submit a science-themed model, nature-based collection or conduct an at-home demonstration or experiment.
Third and fourth grade participants must use the scientific method to plan, research, conduct, and present results.
A help session for lower school students will be held on Wednesday, November 7, from 5:00-6:00 p.m. in the Science Lab.
Fifth through eighth grade participants may choose to use the scientific method or submit an engineering design.
Projects submitted by third through eighth graders may be eligible to advance to the Region 3A Science and Engineering Fair. A panel of judges will recommend the best projects from the STS Science Fair to move on to the regional competition.
