Advice for Parents with Rising Freshmen
Posted 07/11/2018 04:21PM

With another year of St. Timothy's School graduates entering high schools all over the Triangle this August, both students and parents feel excitement mixed with a bit of apprehension as this new phase begins. Tim Tinnesz, Head of School, has long expressed the values of transitioning to a new school after eighth grade. Now, Mr. Tinnesz offers some practical advice to those parents facing this new transition in his blog post "Three conversations parents should have with their rising freshmen" posted on WRAL's Go Ask Mom webpage.

These perspective-setting conversations at the start of high school will help put teens on a path for a successful experience.
