March Madness 2018 Launches at STS
Posted 03/02/2018 05:00PM

St. Timothy's is celebrating March Madness again this year with even more friendly competition! We're raising funds for the STS Annual Fund while at the same time collecting non-perishable food donations for Urban Ministries of Wake County.

Get your grade in the game with both competitions! Two winners will be announced - the grade with the highest Annual Fund parent participation rate and the grade with the most food donations will each win a grade-wide party of their choice.

To help your child's grade win, simply make a donation to the STS Annual Fund before March 23 if you haven't already for this school year AND bring in non-perishable, nutritious food items by March 19 including:

  • canned vegetables
  • canned soup
  • canned beans
  • canned diced tomatoes
  • canned tuna and/or chicken
  • Ramen noodles
  • Oatmeal
  • cereals
  • pasta
  • pasta sauce
  • rice
  • dry beans

Our goal is 100% parent participation in the STS Annual Fund and 5,000 pounds of food for Urban Ministries! The three sixth grade Service Learning classes will be visiting Urban Ministries on March 20, 22 and 23, with the first class delivering the food on March 20.

As a celebration of our March Madness efforts, students are invited to wear their favorite college team shirt on Monday, March 19 (t-shirt day rules apply).

Winner grades will be announced March 23. More details about March Madness can be found at http://www.sttimothys.org/marchmadness.
