The Learning Specialist reviews academic data, including educational evaluations and standardized testing, and works closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to monitor student performance to maximize academic potential. Instructional strategies and/or accommodations for students may be implemented on a case-by-case basis.
In Lower School, limited accommodations are available because we are able to provide small-group, individualized instruction within the regular classroom to meet student needs.
In Middle School, in order for accommodations to be considered for students, we require a current educational evaluation (within 3 years) that indicates academic impairment (below average scores) and evidence from the classroom supporting the need for recommended accommodations.
