St. Timothy’s School is committed to high-quality instruction. We incorporate research-based, best practices into our daily instruction to help all of our students to be as successful as possible. We continue to focus on differentiated instruction within the classroom to meet the learning needs and learning styles of our students. In addition to differentiation in the classroom, St. Timothy’s School has a Learning Specialist, Lindsay Behrens, available to support students, families, and teachers. St. Timothy’s provides a comprehensive counseling program to all of our students that includes individual counseling, as well as small and large group counseling. In addition, we provide monthly classroom guidance to students in kindergarten through fourth grade covering topics ranging from respect and honesty to listening and problem solving skills. Character development continues in Middle School through weekly classroom time devoted to Social and Emotional Learning.
Every teacher at St. Timothy's School is commited to helping your student reach his or her academic potential. Our Lower School teachers are available throughout the year for parent conferences (by appointment only) to discuss ways both you and the teacher can help your student reach his or her potential in the classroom.
Middle School students have regulary scheduled Academic Assistance sessions rotated into their schedules. During this time, students are allowed to work on homework assignments and projects, and may seek out a specific teacher for extra assistance. After-school sessions are offered at least twice a week by every Middle School teacher. If additional help is needed, your student may also contact a particular teacher to request an extra help session.
