Beyond The Classroom
Learning at St. Timothy’s School extends far beyond the traditional classroom walls, offering rich opportunities for curiosity, personal growth, and global discovery. Through vibrant programs like Service Learning, Field Trips, Technology and Design, and dedicated Social and Emotional Learning, students apply their knowledge to meaningful, real-world experiences. Whether engaging in our Advisory Program, exploring new interests in Clubs and Summer Camps, or venturing out on immersive Service Learning opportunities, our students build character, connections, and lifelong confidence every step of the way.
After School Care
The After School Care (ASC) program is available to all St. Timothy’s students and is held on school days, with dismissal running until 6:00 p.m. The ASC program is an extension of the safe, supervised, nurturing environment of St. Timothy’s School. The goals of ASC are to provide students with structured play and an opportunity to complete homework assignments.

Summer Camps
Discover fun and innovation at St. Timothy’s Summer Camps! Running June 9 – August 8 for rising Pre-K to 8th graders, we offer flexible half- and full-day weekly sessions, extended care options, and exciting programs from our faculty and community partners.

Field Trips
At St. Timothy’s, we prioritize field trips (day and overnight) as essential extensions of the classroom that bring learning to life. These hands-on experiences spark curiosity and deepen understanding by connecting academic concepts directly to the real world. By stepping outside school walls, students across all grade levels gain invaluable real-world perspective, critical thinking skills, and a lifelong passion for discovery.

Global Travel
To further expand learning beyond the classroom, St. Timothy’s partners with leading travel agencies to offer families immersive international trips during summer and school breaks. These global adventures strengthen our community by bringing families, students, and faculty together to share unforgettable cultural experiences and build lifelong connections. By exploring the world together, we broaden our perspective and strengthen our commitment to raising globally fluent, open-minded citizens.

Clubs
St. Timothy’s middle school students can explore their unique passions through a diverse array of extracurricular clubs, including the Art Club, Environmentalism Club, and the North Carolina Junior Classical League. These vibrant programs are designed to spark creativity, foster leadership, and build community outside the traditional classroom setting. Whether championing sustainability, expressing artistic talents, or diving into classical history, every student can find a welcoming space to connect and thrive.

Service Learning
Our students strive to make a positive difference in various communities through the service opportunities woven into our curriculum. We believe our pre-kindergarten through eighth-grade service learning model is uniquely effective in preparing students to meet future challenges.
