Arrival Procedures

Chart of Arrival Times

To control crowds and accommodate temperature checks as students arrive, families should not arrive before their designated arrival window.  The school is unable to offer traditional before school care in the 2020-21 school year and is unable to receive students in buildings or classrooms prior to 7:45 a.m.

Families with Siblings with Multiple Arrival Times

Families with siblings in Arrival Groups #1 and #2 may drop both children off at the same time.  Siblings of students in grades 2, 5, and 6 will be permitted in their PK, K, grade 1 and grade 4 classrooms beginning at 7:45 a.m. (To limit crowds, early drop-off is only available to siblings; all other students in Arrival Group #2 should be dropped off no earlier than 8 a.m.)

Families in Arrival Group #3 with siblings in either Arrival Group #1 or #2 will be offered a supervised, socially-distanced outdoor play area for siblings in grade 3 and an outdoor tented waiting area for siblings in grades 7 and 8 who arrive prior to 8:15 a.m.  (To limit crowds, early drop-off is only available to siblings; all other students in Arrival Group #3 should be dropped off no earlier than 8:15 a.m.)

Late Arrivals

Students who arrive late to school should be checked in remotely by their parents using the SchoolPass app.  Parents arriving with students before 9:30 a.m. should pull through the main campus driveway, where a campus security officer will greet the student at the car, perform a temperature screening, and provide the student with access to his/her building.  After 9:30 a.m. the main campus driveway is closed to traffic, so the parent should pull up in front of the main office on Rowan Street and call the main school number (919-787-3011).  The main office will send a staff member or security officer to assist and provide the student with building access.
