Social and Emotional Learning

Recognizing the importance non-cognitive skills such as focus, communication, and resiliency play in long-term success for our students, St. Timothy’s School includes a Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) program for all grades. SEL classes focus on self awareness, self management, relationship skills, social awareness, and responsible decision making. Specific lessons and units also target stress and digital citizenship.

In the Lower School, classes are taught monthly by the school counselor. In the Middle School, classes are taught by the counselor or a classroom teacher and meet weekly.
