The Reverend S. Gregory Jones will deliver the eighth grade graduation address to the St. Timothy's School Class of 2021 on Saturday, June 5.
Rev. Jones is the rector of St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Raleigh, where he has served since 2004. He grew up in the nation’s capital before attending and graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Rev. Jones returned to Washington, D.C. to work for a few years, then spent two years in Honduras as a chaplain at an Episcopalian school. He attended the General Theological Seminary in New York City before working at St. James's in Richmond, VA for five years.
Rev. Jones met his wife, Melanie, during their time in Honduras. They have three daughters—the youngest, Cheyney, is a seventh grader at St Timothy's School. He is a published author and has played bass in the band Balsa Gliders for fifteen years.
We are honored to have Rev. Jones as our commencement speaker, and we look forward to celebrating our eighth grade graduates this June.
