For the sixth year in a row, St. Timothy's School has adopted families in need during the holiday season to provide them with a special Christmas. This year, we sponsored three families through The Salvation Army's Center of Hope Women's and Children's Shelter.
Dozens of our families donated all sorts of presents from the wishlist, including clothing, toy trucks, gift cards, books, art supplies and a dollhouse! The outpouring of support shows just how our STS family responds to help our community.
Seventh graders took the lead this year. One group used their Social-Emotional Learning class time to organize the gifts for the families. On Monday, December 14, another group of seventh graders loaded the gifts into cars to be dropped off—just in time for Christmas! This annual drive helps to show students the importance of giving back to the local community.
With these gifts, we hope to bring blessings and joy to these three families during the Christmas season.
