Eudras Ceus, the liaison between our school and St. Timothee’s in Haiti, visited us for a week last January. After a whirlwind trip, he returned with two suitcases filled with small instruments, two laptops, STS athletic jerseys, whiteboard markers and more.
Earlier this week, we heard a great update: the students at St. Timothee's are putting the jerseys to good use!
About 60 of the older students have returned to school and St. Timothee's plans to phase in the younger children this fall. They have not been able to consistently hold school for the past couple of years due to civil unrest and then the pandemic, so this is promising news!
Thankfully, the school is located in a rural area which has not been significantly affected by the pandemic.
