See What Our Talented Artists Were Up to This Summer

A collaboration between St. Timothy’s students and teachers turned up the heat this summer. In June, rising fourth grader Claire Velthuisen and rising seventh grader Clara D. got to see their artwork hang side-by-side with paintings created by their teachers, Ms. Bierer and Mrs. Balentine.

Their work was part of a greater exhibit in the Weems Art Gallery at Meredith College that showcased artwork by students and their art teachers from all across our region. The exhibit displayed all kinds of artwork, from paintings and ceramics to fabric art and sculptures.

By celebrating the creativity, passion and vision of both students and teachers, the exhibit reinforced the importance of arts in education.

Check out the photos to see the paintings from our talented STS students and teachers.
