Learning Support

St.Timothy's Learning Support is a fee-based program available for our students in first grade through eighth grade who have academic fluency differences, primarily in the areas of reading and language. Our program is designed to assist students in establishing effective learning strategies, building on individual strengths, and focusing on the remediation of needs. Students in our Learning Support program will receive small group instruction from a teacher trained in working with students who have learning differences. Enrollment in the program will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

St. Timothy’s provides a comprehensive counseling program to all of our students that includes individual counseling, as well as small and large group counseling. In addition, we provide monthly classroom guidance to students in kindergarten through fourth grade covering topics ranging from respect and honesty to listening and problem solving skills.

Academic Assistance

Every teacher at St. Timothy's School is commited to helping your student reach his or her academic potential. Our Lower School teachers are available throughout the year for parent conferences (by appointment only) to discuss ways both you and the teacher can help your student reach his or her potential in the classroom.

Middle School students have regulary scheduled Academic Assistance sessions rotated into their schedules. During this time, students are allowed to work on homework assignments and projects, and may seek out a specific teacher for extra assistance. After-school sessions are offered at least twice a week by every Middle School teacher. If additional help is needed, your student may also contact a particular teacher to request an extra help session.
