About St. Timothy's | Our Community
St. Timothy’s is fortunate to have a community of families and friends whose support is generous and far-reaching. The Board of Trustees, parents, faculty, students, extended families, alumni and friends work together to make St. Timothy’s the best that it can be.
The Board of Trustees is led by chair, Father Jay C. James, rector of St. Timothy's Church. Membership of the board includes representation by parishioners, parents, past parents and the general community. The parent support organization, Friends of St. Timothy's, whose activities include classroom support, event planning and fundraising projects, has contributed thousands of volunteer hours and hundreds of thousands of dollars to the school. Founded in 1958, the school has thousands of alumni, some still living in the Raleigh area, while others have scattered far and wide. An Alumni Council has been formed to act as the steering committee for the St. Timothy's Alumni Association. All alumni are encouraged to click on the Alumni page and update their information. The St. Timothy's Faculty is comprised of dedicated individuals who excel in their areas of expertise. The faculty includes over 65 full and part time employees, 45% of whom have or are activiely seeking advanced degrees. Those wishing to apply for available positions should click on Employment.
