Role of Rector and Vestry

St. Timothy's School is part of the mission of St. Timothy's Church.  Since the School is part of the Church's outreach, the roles of the Rector of St. Timothy's Church, the Vestry Members of St. Timothy's Church and the Members of the School Board will be as follows.  The Rector of St. Timothy's Church will be the Chairman of the School Board.  The Vestry Members of the Church are the "legal agents" of the property of the Church and the School. The Vestry Members delegate the governance of the School to the School Board Members.  The finances of the Church will be governed by the Vestry, the finances of the School will be governed by the School Board. The cooperation of the Vestry and School Board is essential for the life and health of both the Church and the School.
