Beyond academics, St. Timothy's offers many aspects of campus life which make a student's day complete. Whether it is reading in chapel, loading supplies to be delivered to a food pantry, practicing for chorus or signing up for a special activity, students find many opportunities for life outside of the classroom at St. Timothy's.
The
After School Care Program is available for students in grades K-8 every afternoon until 6:00 pm. Students find a distinctly different setting from their school day where they can unwind, participate in recreation and do homework. Additionally, teachers are available Monday-Thursday in their classrooms for extra help sessions as needed.
The
Arts Program includes visual and performing arts as well as vocal and instrumental music. While many of the arts are offered during the school day as an enrichment class or an elective, some programs are held after school.
Students attend
Chapel once a week under the guidance of Father Jay C. James, rector of St. Timothy's church. The service follows the Episcopal Book of Common Prayer and students serve a readers, acolytes and flag bearers.
The entire campus unites around the
Character Education Program, titled
At the Heart of St. Timothy's: Faith, Hope and Love. Each month, a different virtue is the focus and various campus activities correspond with the virture of the month.
Friends of St. Timothy's is the school's parent-teacher assocation. Friends volunteers serve the school in areas of classroom support, student enrichment, fundraising and fun-raising. From cultural arts to large family events, Friends offers programs which benefit student and campus life tremendously.
Campus life is also enhanced by a variety of
Student Groups. Student Council, National Junior Honor Society, Youth Advisory Committee and a host of other clubs meet on a regular basis.
St. Timothy's faculty and staff offer a variety of
Summer Camps for students. Camps are limited to students enrolled at St. Timothy's School and range from arts to science to sports to academics. A brochure listing the camps offered is distributed each year to parents.
