Beliefs

We believe that athletic participation is a vital part of the education and development of each student. Lessons learned in the intensity of practice and competition serve to extend a person’s ability to interact with others. Lessons of hard work, determination, and response to victory and defeat are all elements of athletic participation.

Participation in the athletic program at St. Timothy’s is a privilege. This privilege is given to those students who display good campus citizenship and meet the academic requirements set forth in the Policies and Procedures Handbook.

Purpose

The purpose of the athletic program at St. Timothy’s School is to provide an opportunity for physical, emotional, and moral development. The particular character traits emphasized are pride, courage, respect, humility, hard work, desire to excel, and self-sacrifice. The athletic program seeks to develop these character traits while developing the physical body.
